General Summary:

As a Qualcomm ASIC Engineer, you will define, model, design (digital and/or analog), optimize, verify, validate, implement, and document IP (block/SoC) development for a variety of high performance, high quality, low power world class products. Qualcomm Engineers collaborate with cross-functional groups to determine product execution path.

Principal Duties Responsibilities

Perform digital synthesis and static timing analysis (STA) for complex digital designs.

Collaborate with design, verification and PD teams to ensure timing closure and design optimization.

Assist in the development and maintenance of synthesis and STA scripts and methodologies.

Analyze and resolve timing issues, working closely with cross-functional teams.

Run Low power checks and Logic equivalency checks.

Participate in design reviews and provide feedback on timing and synthesis aspects.

Document and report synthesis and STA results, highlighting key findings and recommendations.

Skills

Engage in tasks that require collaboration across multiple functional teams.

Verbal and written communication skills to convey complex and/or detailed information

Completing tasks that require multiple steps that can be performed in various orders

Use deductive and inductive problem solving

Required Competencies (All competencies below are required upon entry)

Familiarity with EDA tools such as Synopsys Design Compiler, Cadence Genus, or similar.

Basic understanding of digital design principles and VLSI concepts.

Understanding of scripting languages such as TCL, Perl, or Python.

Knowledge of static timing analysis and timing closure techniques.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.

0-1+ years Hardware Engineering experience or related work experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor/Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.-0-1+ years Hardware Engineering experience or related work experience.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, or related field.

Pay range:

$98,500.00 - $147,700.00

The above pay scale reflects the broad, minimum to maximum, pay scale for this job code for the location for which it has been posted. Even more importantly, please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Qualcomm. We also offer a competitive annual discretionary bonus program and opportunity for annual RSU grants (employees on sales-incentive plans are not eligible for our annual bonus).
