Immediate opportunities exist in QUALCOMM's Advanced Tech RD to work in the area of audio features tuning and HW validation. You will be part of the Audio Systems and RD team tuning acoustics of the devices to meet carrier requirements and KPIs of algorithms and validation of QUALCOMM Aqstic Audio Codec

Responsibilities:

This position requires the candidate to execute Acoustic tuning, analyzing signal characteristics and executing the performance KPIs.

Responsibilities also includes validating audio codec, troubleshooting HW and SW issues, debugging and performance validation.

Requirements:

Good understanding of Audio signal processing

Understanding of HW schematics and design

Basic understanding of digital interfaces (I2S, I2C,slimbus...)

Experience in probing and analyzing the audio signal characteristics

Good understanding of Audio analog and digital components design

Good analytical skills in troubleshooting HW and SW issues.

Programming and scripting (Matlab/python) expertise is a plus

Experience in Audio pre/post-processing algorithms for subjective quality enhancement (EC/NS, ANC, ICC, AGC/ limiter, SRC, speech recognition, etc.) is a plus.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required

Mature interpersonal skills with an ability to collaboratively work with many varied teams and resolve problems spanning many disciplines

Proven ability to work in a dynamic, multi-tasked environment

Self-starter who likes to be challenged and solve tough complex issues

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 3+ years of Systems Engineering or related work experience.

OR

Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Systems Engineering or related work experience.

OR

PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 1+ year of Systems Engineering or related work experience.

Educational Qualification:

Bachelor's/Master’s degree in Engineering, Electronics and communication, Computer Science or related filed.

2+ years experience in Audio domain
