Job Title: Experienced PhlebotomistJob Description:

　　We are seeking an experienced Phlebotomist to join our team and assist in performing various assigned duties. As a Phlebotomist, you will be responsible for performing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data, and updating patient information. You will also be tasked with collecting and storing specimens according to established procedures, explaining the process of the venipuncture and other specimen collection to patients, and demonstrating techniques using straight needles and/or butterfly needles. You will be required to match laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes, label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required by test order, and package specimens for transport. An essential part of your role will be to understand and comply with OSHA and DEP regulations and to answer telephone calls, read laboratory results to satisfy inquiries.

　　Hard Skills:

　　Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed (as required in some states)

　　Minimum of 2 years work experience performing venipunctures in a fast paced lab or hospital setting

　　Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

　　High School Diploma or GED

　　2-4 years of experience in the field

　　Soft Skills:

　　Customer service skills

　　Ability to explain complex processes in a clear but courteous manner

　　Ability to follow detailed procedures and protocols

　　Additional Skills & Qualifications:

　　1+ years of phlebotomy experience

　　Verifiable experience drawing on all age groups

　　This is a Contract to Hire position, with an initial contract duration of 3 months.
