Mayprocure, measure, compound, count, and deliver medications under thesupervision of a pharmacist. Functions within the guidelines of theWisconsin Statutes and Administrative Code - Pharmacy Examining Board -Pharmacy Practice Sections. Other duties as assigned. EXPERIENCEDESCRIPTION: One year of experience as a pharmacy technician ispreferred. EDUCATION DESCRIPTION: High School diploma or equivalent isrequired. Graduate of an accredited pharmacy technician training programis preferred. SPECIAL SKILLS DESCRIPTION: Exceptional customer serviceand communication skills. Detail oriented. Experience with variouscomputer systems and programs. LICENSURE DESCRIPTION: Application forWisconsin registration as a Pharmacy Technician is required by hire dateand must be obtained within 12 months of hire. Staff hired into thisrole prior to 3/31/23 must have applied for Wisconsin registration by3/31/23 and have until 3/31/24 to obtain registration. Certification asa Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) through passing the Pharmacy TechnicianCertification Boards exam (PTCE) or the National HealthcareerAssociations exam (ExCPT) is required within 6 months of hire.
