　　The Pharmacy Technician assists pharmacists in all aspects of pharmacy practice and performs any duties required to provide and ensure good patientcare and safety as requested,

　　Follows workflow as appropriate,

　　Must be a high school graduate or GED equivalent,

　　Must be able to read, write and speak fluent English,

　　Must be PTCB certified or receive certification within 1 year of hire,

　　Required maintain PTCB certification,

　　Must be registered with the New Jersey Board of Pharmacy as a Registered Pharmacy Technician,

　　Must be able to work cooperatively with hospital and pharmacy staff,

　　Drug Distribution

　　Refills unit-dose medication bins and delivers contents to nursing units,

　　Collects and processes medication orders prior to distribution,

　　Delivers prepared medication to nursing units, as assigned,

　　Performs necessary tasks related to patient transfer and discharge; record-keeping and transfer of medications,

　　Delivery of controlled substances to all hospital areas,

　　Maintenance of all automatic dispensing machines ADMs,

　　Checks for and removes expired medications from stock,

　　Restocks code carts,

　　Prepares and labels outpatient prescriptions,

　　Prepares and labels extemporaneously compounded non-sterile pharmaceuticals,
