Job Position:
The Finance Manager will play a key vital role in enabling Softgels business unit to achieve its financial objectives. The role is responsible for running key operating mechanisms such as forecasting process, leading the budgeting process, confirming current standards, long-term planning, and data insight.
The position will report to the Sr. Manager, Finance for High Point. Developing and maintaining helpful partnerships with company divisions and corporate accounting teams acting as a true business partner to the site leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead annual cost roll/build process
Support new product launch development and financial review
Responsible for variance analysis to identify issues, opportunities and trends to provide senior leaders with financial analysis input that will drive decision making including project profitability, efficiency analysis, and return on investment
Partner with Warehouse team to ensure Cycle Count program adhere to company policy
Serve as Finance business partner to the Softgels business operations and High Point manufacturing site leadership teams
Manage Excess & Obsolete (E&O) inventory analysis. Coordinate with stakeholders to review E&O inventory and recommend actions to prevent and reduce loss
Perform month-end closing pertaining to inventory and revenue accruals
Support operating mechanisms including STRAP, AOP, and Monthly/Quarterly Business reviews focused on revenue/ standard margin, support to the S&OP process
Develop financial scenarios and models to efficiently move strategy to action
Embrace continuous improvement approach focused on automation, operational improvement, and elevating business partnership.
Collaborate with Functional Leaders (Commercial, Operations, R&D, Marketing / Product Management, etc.) to provide financial modeling, insight, and recommendations to deliver financial objectives and advance long-term strategies
Support other initiatives, special projects, requests and ad-hoc financial analysis as required
Minimum Qualifications:
BS/BA in Accounting/Finance
MBA, CPA, or CMA preferred
Experience:
8+ years of related experience with success in a manufacturing operations environment
Systems experience preferred: SAP, Hyperion Planning, CMR, Power BI
Competencies:
Solid understanding of accounting and financial reporting
Proven track record to consistently work within fixed timeframes
Strong analytical and financial modeling skills with the ability to quickly grasp and apply analytical concepts
Proactive communicator with excellent verbal and written communications skills. Must be capable of building positive relationships with colleagues
Maintain the highest standards of accuracy and precision; meticulous, highly-organized and resourceful
Excellent problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently as well as part of an extended, cross-functional team in a matrixed organization
