Job Description:
Provides receptionist and clerical support in preparing, coordinating and compiling patient records, answering phones, and scheduling appointments.
Provides exceptional customer service through all daily interactions with both externaland internal departmental contacts
Receives all incoming requests for notices of material transport, medical/surgical supplies, and patient care equipment. Prioritize requests and dispatches personnel and/or volunteer staff to fulfill transport and supply requests in accordance with departmental response service standards.
Provides timely follow-up information to requesting departments regarding canceled transports, supply outages, and other supply or transport related problems. Also provides this information to the Supervisor.
Issues and credits supply items on the Lawson system in a timely manner.
Coordinates and fills routine supply orders for ancillary departments.
Answers phones and receives requests via the fax machine, call downs, walk-ins, tube system, and/or computer. Resolves customer issues, relating to order discrepancies, distribution of inventory/equipment, accurately enters computer data, and initiates, compiles and maintains necessary records and reports.
Serves as a Customer Care Technician I as needed.

Performs other duties as assigned.
May be required to float to other departments (within scope of competency and qualifications) based on business need.
May be required to be placed on-call during a regularly scheduled shift.
Minimum Qualifications
Required
High School Diploma or GED is requiredPreferred
Associates degree and/or continuing education is preferredOne (1) years in a customer care related roll preferable in a healthcare supply chain environment including knowledge of patient related supplies, materials, equipment, and computer skills is preferred One (1)years of experience acting as a Customer Care Technician Level 1 or related position Knowledge of MMIS, Lawson or other related inventory system is preferred

Physical Requirements:

May require lifting and transporting objects and office supplies, bending, kneeling and reaching.

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.
