Position Summary
THE ROLE:
We are seeking a PFAS Program Manager. The PFAS Program Manager will drive growth of Xylems PFAS business globally and coordinate activities between commercial, product, engineering, innovation, and government aairs teams. They will act as Xylems central nexus on PFAS, engaging with subject matter experts both across and outside the organization to derive insights leading to business growth. They will be responsible for translating market intelligence and input from these cross-functional groups into a strategic plan that drives revenue growth of Xylems current PFAS solutions while scaling up operations, incorporating new technologies, and expanding into adjacent industrial markets in concert with emerging regulations globally. They will lead the execution of this strategy by managing business development activity, developing and managing partnerships, communicating with stakeholders, and making rapid adjustments in line with developments in the area. The PFAS Program Manager will grow awareness of Xylems PFAS solutions through thought leadership, marketing, and internal/external training.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
The ideal candidate will have a deep knowledge of the complex PFAS space centering on the needs of the customer. They will be a continuous learner that understands the interdependencies between science, technology, regulation, and market dynamics. They will have strong business acumen; ability to manage complex cross-functional programs; and sales/business development experience in the municipal drinking water or wastewater markets; with experience of the industrial wastewater market as a plus. They will be comfortable working across diverse areas and have demonstrated experience meeting short-term business targets while balancing long-term growth initiatives.
Core Responsibilities and Tasks
Strategy/General
Develop and execute strategy from a full solutions perspective including PFAS site-analysis, sensing, removal, transportation, disposal, and destruction rst in the United States, followed by Europe.
Serve as a market segment expert, understanding the broad market landscape, including key players, competitive threats, and levers for success.
Identify and build the case for the big strategic bets for growth in the category, including product development opportunities, expansion into adjacencies, cross-selling and upselling potential, and new business models.
Coordinate activities globally between commercial, product, engineering, innovation, and government aairs teams
Apply project leadership skills to manage critical paths; develop timely countermeasures; and build, inuence, and lead cross-functional teams to execute program plans.
Eectively communicate to key stakeholders on program status, risks, and resource needs.
Plan and deliver global PFAS training, both internally and externally
Coordinate cross-functionally with project managers, engineers, strategic account managers, business development teams, strategy teams, segment/regional business leads, and government aairs.
Engage in thought leadership activities internally and externally such as technical client/conference presentations, publishing white papers, developing training, and participating on panels. Sales/Business Development
Build funnel of opportunities for PFAS in the United States and in Europe, collaborating with business development, sales, and strategic account management teams.
Research and maintain market intelligence, including competitive analysis and pricing.
Develop nancial models, pricing strategies, sales playbook for PFAS solutions and services.
Responsible for proposal preparation and contract negotiation.
Identify and pursue grant and revolving loan opportunities.
Create partnerships key customer, industry, organizational, and government contacts.
Support the execution of projects, a[er-market sales, and client relationship management.
Technical
Participate in oversight of NPD projects/ programs through the Stage Gate process.
Drive the incorporation of new innovations into Xylems solutions portfolio through a strong understanding of customer needs, competitive analysis, emerging technology, & regulatory developments
Position Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in engineering or business
10 15+ years of relevant experience
Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
Experience working with PFAS.
Experience working with utilities in municipal drinking water or wastewater.
PREFERRED:
Masters degree (MBA or MS)
PMP certication
Strong knowledge of PFAS from customer, business, regulatory, legal, and technical perspectives
Experience with industrial wastewater treatment
Experience with Stage Gate Process
Experience with MS Project and Project Online preferred
