　　Apply fertilizers to plants according to formulas determined bysupervisor. Mix, load, and apply pesticides, herbicides, or fungicidesto trees and shrubs or botanical crops according to instructions fromsupervisor. Clean and maintain the equipment to insure properfunctioning. Report information about plants and plant growth. Assist inoperating and maintaining irrigation equipment and climate controlsystems, assist with the direction of weeding crews. Operate tractors,tractor-drawn machinery, and self-propelled machinery to fertilize,spray, or mix nursery soil. Assist the Production Forepersons with thedirection of grading crews, planting crews, growing crews, andmaintenance crews of containerized plant material. Assist the ShippingForepersons in the accurate and timely shipments of nursery products,working with the Inventory Forepersons and Central Dispatch, organizingand distributing the necessary paperwork, assisting with the directionof order pulling crews, loading crews, and tagging crews. Monitor safetypractices. Fill in with general labor when needed. Assist with timekeeping and work schedule maintenance. Maintain records to measureproductivity and help ensure processes are maintained. Train new andexisting employees to maintain maximum productivity and safety. Performroutine preventative maintenance to ensure that structures are operatingefficiently.
