Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Payroll Tax Specialist in PEPPER PIKE, Ohio. This role is primarily focused on the reconciliation of payroll tax reporting, managing payments of payroll taxes, and preparation of tax filings. The workplace is 100% on-site and requires a professional who is proficient in accounting software systems and payroll tax reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Reconcile payroll tax reporting after each pay run to ensure accurate filings

• Manage weekly, monthly, and quarterly payments of payroll taxes

• Prepare and complete quarterly and annual tax filings

• Reconcile payroll taxes to the general ledger and book journal entries

• Reconcile payroll reports to 941s, W-2s, and 1099s

• Research, track, and respond to tax notices

• Assist clients with registrations

• Prepare tax amendments when necessary

• Conduct special projects and research related to payroll taxes

• Perform payroll reconciliations to the general ledger

• Research and reconcile payroll taxes from prior periods

• Gather and report requested data to internal and external clients. Requirements • Proficient in Accounting Software Systems

• Experience with ADP - Financial Services

• Knowledge of IBM AS/400

• Familiar with 401k - RRSP Administration

• Experience with About Time software

• Strong understanding of Accounting Functions

• Knowledge of Local Payroll Tax regulations

• Experience in Payroll Tax Reporting

• Ability to handle Payroll Tax Returns

• Understanding of Payroll Taxes requirements and procedures
