Description We are looking for a dedicated Payroll Specialist to join our team in Irvine, California. This role focuses on the efficient processing of payroll for a sizable team of employees, all based in California. The Payroll Specialist will be working fully onsite and will be using Paynet payroll software and Sage 100 ERP. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Processing bi-monthly payroll for all employees

• Handling payroll-related tasks for employees in the construction industry

• Ensuring compliance with prevailing wage laws and certified payroll requirements

• Managing payroll for a workforce ranging between 101 and 500 employees

• Utilizing Paynet payroll software for payroll processing

• Operating Sage 100 ERP for effective payroll management

• Addressing and resolving any payroll-related inquiries from employees

• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date payroll records

• Ensuring timely and accurate payroll delivery to all employees. Requirements • Must have experience in managing bi-Monthly Payroll

• Proficiency in Certified Payroll is required

• Familiarity with Prevailing Wage practices is essential

• Construction industry knowledge is beneficial

• Payroll experience, particularly within a company of 101 - 500 employees is needed

• Candidates should possess strong organizational and time management skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities are required

• Proficient in using payroll software and systems

• Candidates must have a high level of accuracy and attention to detail

• Ability to handle confidential information responsibly

• Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines

• Knowledge of payroll taxation and employment laws is necessary

• Proficiency in MS Office suite, particularly Excel, is required

• Must have strong problem-solving and analytical skills

• A bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field is preferred.
