Job Summary
The job performs routine assignments related to scientific researchprojects. Ensures compliance of research activities with institutional,state, and federal regulatory policies, procedures, directives andmandates. Analyzes possible solutions using standard procedures. Writesarticles, reports and manuscripts. Assists in drafting presentations onresearch findings.
The Research Coordinator will work in coordination with the ProjectManagers of the Behavioral Insights and Parenting Lab and will provideadministrative, technical and translation support for various researchprojects. We seek a strong multi-tasker with excellent communicationskills who will thrive in a dynamic project-based environment. Prioritywill be given to candidates who are fluent in both English and Spanish.The BIP Lab team has a hybrid work policy, and days team members areexpected to be in the office are set and will be communicated bymanagers.
Primary responsibilities include support with research site recruitmentand communication, hiring, training and coordination of student researchassistant team schedules, communication with research participants,quality assurance of data collection, research activity reporting,logistics coordination of field implementation, maintaining researchprotocols and other duties as assigned.
This position is grant-funded for one year with the potential for futurerenewal.
Responsibilities
Supports recruitment of and communications with early childhoodcenters and other research partners: (15%)Supports relationship management between the BIP Lab and theresearch partner organizations.Prepares and organizes research materials for partner organizations:(15%)Curates and configures research materials including digital devices,tools and assessments.Translates and edits research protocol documents, including consentforms, research instruments, and promotional materials to Spanish asneeded.Provide support for onboarding, training, scheduling and managementof field research assistants: 15%Leads the interview and onboarding process for research assistants.Provides ongoing coaching to research assistants.Reviews and approves research assistant time.Provides technical support to partner organizations, researchparticipants and research assistants: 10%Oversees communication with research participants.Responds to inquiries from research sites about research activities.Responds to technical questions from research assistants.Supports development of ongoing research projects: 20%Supports study design and preparation efforts.Recruits research participants on site and remotely.Supports logistics of implementing all data collection in th field.Tracks and processes payments for research participants per studyand University protocol.Supports development of prospective research projects.Supports project budget and timeline development.Cleans, formats and audit data files.Transcribes and codes qualitative data.Monitors and reports on progress of research projects.Maintains technical and administrative support for a researchproject.Installs, sets up and performs experiments; interacting withstudents and other laboratory staff under the direction of theprincipal investigator.Maintains recruiting and scheduling research subjects; assistingwith developing or amending study protocols; assisting withdeveloping data collection tools; assisting with building databases;and providing general administrative support. Has general awarenessin research techniques or methods, regulatory policies andprocedures, and relevant scientific field.Performs other related work as needed.Minimum Qualifications
