Job Description:
The Payroll Analyst is a key role within the Envista payroll team. This position reports directly to the Senior Manager of Payroll and will oversee the multi-state payroll tax filings and reconciliations. The Analyst will manage processing of the general ledger and will work closely with Finance on account reconciliations, changes, and updates. This position will collaborate with both internal and external partners to ensure all payroll taxes are complete and accurate.
Primary Responsibilities
Subject matter expert on multistate taxation and compliance
Oversee payroll accounting functions including general ledger posting
Performs regular payroll account reconciliations
Performs complex analysis of payroll and payroll tax issues.
Performs quarterly and annual reconciliation of Federal and State tax filings, including W-2’s
Verify tax returns are processed by the vendor timely and reconcile any outstanding tax issues
Partner with Finance and HR to establish new locations and/or taxing jurisdictions
Works closely with vendor to ensure system performs at maximum capacity
Maintains knowledge of Federal, State, and local payroll tax laws and best practices
Manage end to end process in establishing new taxing jurisdictions. This includes coordination with Finance and HR to ensure all parties are well informed.
Generate reports as needed
Job Requirements:
Associate degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum 5 years payroll experience
Ability to work well with a team
Strong ability to multi-task
Experience with multi state payrolls & tax filing
Solid math and problem-solving skills
Strong attention to detail and documentation
Strong research and analytical skills
Strong knowledge of Federal and State wage and tax reporting requirements
Strong communication and computer skills. Must be comfortable with creating reports and spreadsheets in Excel.

Target Market Salary Range:

The total compensation package for this position may also include an annual performance bonus, medical/dental/vision benefits, 401K match, and/or other applicable compensation plans.
