Responsibilities:
As a Payroll Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing and ensuring the accuracy of payroll processes. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in processing documentation related to open enrollment and payroll deductions. Key responsibilities include:
Process Documentation:
Create and maintain comprehensive process documentation related to payroll procedures.
Ensure documentation is up-to-date and aligns with company policies.
Open Enrollment:
Oversee the open enrollment process, collaborating with HR to facilitate seamless enrollment of employees.
Ensure accurate and timely processing of open enrollment changes.
Payroll Deductions:
Manage the entry of payroll deductions, including verifying the accuracy of data entered.
Work closely with the Assistant Finance Director to implement necessary deductions efficiently.
Collaboration with Assistant Finance Director:
Collaborate with the Assistant Finance Director, who has been with the company since August and is trained in payroll processes.
Provide support and assistance as needed to maintain payroll accuracy and compliance.
Software Proficiency:
Utilize JD Edwards software for payroll processing in a basic sense.
Manual entry of timecards for approximately 300-400 employees on a bi-weekly basis.
Conduct auditing of payroll data to ensure accuracy and compliance.
General Understanding of JDE Payroll:
Develop and maintain a general understanding of JD Edwards payroll functionalities.
Apply this knowledge to enhance and streamline payroll processes.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in payroll processing, with a focus on open enrollment and deductions.
Familiarity with JD Edwards software, especially in the context of payroll processing.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is preferred.
Previous experience in a payroll role, with exposure to JD Edwards software.
