HOW AN ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT III WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:
The department is seeking an energetic and mission oriented Administrative Assistant (AA) who will provide support to two training branches
The ideal candidate will be a sell-starter who can manage multiple tasks with limited supervision, works well under pressure, shows initiative, communicates clearly and effectively, and demonstrates excellent interpersonal skills
The selected candidate will work with Department's senior management and will be assigned to lead, plan, implement, and coordinate activities for multiple courses that are offered
The AA will work under the supervision of a senior support staff officer, working largely behind the scenes to provide a broad range of support to Department's courses to Include serving as a registrar for branch-generated courses, and gathering/developing/tracking/analyzing performance metrics for these programs
AA's are required to back each other up
AA's are required to open/close the classroom vault, ensure office/classroom supplies are stocked/ordered, reserve occasional parking spots for senior Mission Center management, produce TDY, or other reimbursement vouchers for staff, and facilitate the access to new Department officers onto the system (vault access, databases, etc.)
There is no weekend work or overtime, but our staff does work flexible hours to accommodate the course schedule. No domestic or foreign travel is required, nor is there a requirement to travel to other buildings/locations
This position does not require writing or editing. There are no physical work requirements (i.e. moving office furniture, etc.).
WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
The position requires an active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance
HS Diploma and 3 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
The department's core business hours are between 0900-1500, however the AA will be required to stay for the duration of the courses they are supporting and will therefore need to plan their work hours accordingly to ensure a full 40-hour work week
Candidate must be able to operate in a team environment as well as successfully work on their own
