As the Payroll Clerk, your duties will consist of data entry, reconciliation of timecards, paycheck distribution, and providing statements to various departments. This vacancy is based in the Troy, Michigan area and is a permanent opportunity. Strong communications skills are fundamental to this role as the candidate will be required to work with both the internal team and external customers.

　　Key responsibilities

　　-Process payroll for about 200-300 employees

　　Fulfill other duties as assigned including GL entries

　　Update data into spreadsheets and the payroll system

　　Generate and run custom reports

　　Ensure efficient operation of the department by performing clerical duties such as filing, scanning, faxing, photocopying, etc.

　　Make reports easily accessible by administer/saving them as instructed

　　Contact employees via email and phone to obtain timesheet approvals

　　Maintain employee confidence by delivering instruction and training to employees regarding the function of payroll-related systems including entry of timesheets, online access of pay statements, etc.

　　Requirements - Outstanding data entry skills

　　2+ years of previous payroll experience

　　Strong communication and social skills

　　Full Cycle Payroll experience

　　General ledger experience preferred

　　Strong familiarity with UKG Pro

　　Enthusiasm when it comes to learning new systems and ideas

　　Highly organized and self-motivated

　　Prior knowledge in Payroll software

　　High attention to detail
