About Payroll Administrator

Description We are in search of a Payroll Administrator to join our team in ST CHARLES, Illinois. In this role, you will be responsible for processing high volume payroll, administering benefits, filing multisite payroll tax, and providing support during open enrollment periods. This role also involves working with ADP Workforce Now and requires a strong understanding of accounting and benefits functions.

Responsibilities:

• Processing high volume payroll for exempt, non-exempt, and union employees across multiple states.

• Handling benefits administration and assisting with open enrollment.

• Filing multisite payroll tax.

• Utilizing ADP Workforce Now for multistate payroll processing.

• Applying accounting and benefits functions knowledge to carry out duties effectively.

• Resolving payroll related inquiries and issues in a timely manner.

• Managing the payroll system and ensuring data accuracy.

• Working closely with the HR team to ensure all payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely.

• Reconciling payroll prior to transmission and validating confirmed reports.

• Preparing and maintaining accurate records and reports of payroll transactions.

Skills:

• Proficiency in ADP Workforce Now.

• Solid understanding of Microsoft Excel.

• Familiarity with accounting functions.

• Knowledge of benefit functions. Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Payroll Administrator role or similar.

• Proficiency in using ADP Workforce Now is required.

• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel is essential.

• Demonstrated experience with accounting functions.

• Familiarity with benefit functions and their administration.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion.

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to meet deadlines.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred.
