This position performs advanced (senior-level) consultative and technical assistance work related to the SSES program; serves as a first line editor/support for program-related resources/deliverables; develops and implements effective techniques for evaluating the program and guides staff in the development and integration of new methods and procedures; conducts quality assurance reviews and evaluations of the program and its alignment to department goals; consults with public and private agencies involved in the program to resolve problems, identify training needs, and discuss program effectiveness; determines the methodology and delivery of educational courses; develops and delivers training; and speaks to professional groups to coordinate, improve, and stimulate interest in the program and to secure support. This staff member works under limited supervision, with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.The successful candidate will support a statewide culture that assumes high expectations for all students, including those with disabilities. Technical Assistance and Consultative Support: Serves as the primary point of contact and acts as a liaison for families seeking technical assistance related to SSES. This includes communicating eligibility decisions to applicants, providing application status updates, and processing appeals. This also includes meeting with leadership regarding emerging needs to support families and the SSES Program.2. Stakeholder Engagement and Collaboration: Collaborate, communicate, and engage effectively with all stakeholders, including other state agencies, professional organizations, ESCs, LEAs, families, and community members so that they are a true part of the process of program development, implementation, and improvement. Provides oversight and guidance to a variety of internal and external stakeholder groups to present information about the SSES program.3. Program Coordination: Supports the Family Engagement and Outreach Coordinator in the plann ng, development, prioritization, implementation, and monitoring of the SSES program. This includes delivery of program products and services, coordinating activities, and leveraging resources to successfully meet the needs of stakeholders. Provides guidance and coordination in the implementation and maintenance of the SSES program. Supports and aligns with the TEA IT team and data analysis staff to develop, maintain, update, and improve the SSES application and its database. 4. Product Development and Publication Support: Leads, supports, reviews, and/or collaborates with division or agency staff and ESCs to develop and disseminate high quality, effective resources and products such as presentations, webinars, guidance documents, FAQs, and professional development materials based on current state policy and the most recent research on evidence-based practices relevant to students served through special education.Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications Education: Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university Experience: At least four (4) years of experience in teaching students with disabilities and/or project management in a related field. Experience in project management or managing complex processes with work in the field of special education and/or parent/stakeholder engagement involvement is highly preferred.
