The hours ofthe training will be based on schedule or will be discussed on yourfirst day of employment. Primary Responsibilities: Supports patient caredelivery in the areas of patient reception, scheduling, insuranceverification, payment processing for campuses with hospital and medicalgroup departments. Greets visitors and patients in person, orcommunicates by telephone or video conferencing, upholding excellentcustomer service. Enters and updates patient demographic and financialinformation, ensuring the patient is fully registered as early in theprocess as possible. Obtains appropriate applications and forms,confirming signatures are on file. Photocopies/scans documents asneeded. Provides patients with financial responsibility information andcollects patient liabilities, documents amounts in the appropriatefields, and balances the cash box daily. Works with partneringdepartments (Financial Counseling, Scheduling, Financial Clearance, andclinical areas) to ensure all aspects of the patient\'s encounter arecompleted as needed. Provides wayfinding instructions and assists withhospital information as requested. Coordinates patient admission needs,bed assignments, and tracking boards where applicable. Meets or exceedsaudit accuracy standards. Works worklists and error reports timely, andproactively seeks assistance to resolve as needed. May perform otherduties upon request.
