*Position Summary:* * Under the direct supervision of the PastryChef. * This position entails prepping and cooking pastry items,knowledge of Pastry and baking techniques. * Placing stock in properstorage areas, cleaning and maintaining work areas and kitchens, andoverall production for all Food & Beverage venues. *_This list ofduties and responsibilities is illustrative only of the tasks performedby this position and is not all-inclusive._* *Essential Duties &Responsibilities:* * Cooks and prepares a variety of foods,quantities, styles, according to the menu and demand of the business. *Use and learns proper knife skills, cooking and baking techniques,methods and terminology. * Understands and follows standardized recipeswhen preparing all foods for all food venues and outlets. * Understandsand follows through with all assigned tasks. * Clearly communicateswith Pastry Chefs. * Maintains and communicates with Pastry Chefs thefoods/products needed to ensure safe par levels and proper stock levels.* Responsible for maintaining a clean, organized and sanitized workarea all while following all tribal, city, state and federal health/foodsafety regulations and codes. * Responsible for making sure that allareas of their assigned venue/outlet/kitchen are taken care of and allassigned duties are completed. * Ensuring that assigned areas arecompletely ready to open by designated time set by management. *Responsible for all food/storage areas (refrigeration, freezer, drystorage) are kept clean, organized, labeled and dated. * Responsiblefor all equipment, tools, floors, work stations and food prep areas arekept clean and organized; as well as free from all clutter, trash andnon-approved items. * Works according to established procedures of theCasino. * Responsible for being able to communicate well with teammembers while maintaining a positive and professional work environment.* Contributes to a team effort and accomplishing all tasks. * Performsother duties as required. *Minimum Qualifications:* * Knowledge,Abilities, Skills, and Certifications: * Knowledge of kitchenequipment, utensils, tools and machinery. * Knowledge of safe practicesin a kitchen working environment. * Ability to communicate, read, andwrite clearly in basic English. * Ability to demonstrate outstandingguest service at all times. * Ability to work in a busy, fast pacedenvironment. * Ability to perform in a professional appearance andmanner. * Ability to be organized and coordinating task amongst teammembers. * Ability to safely use and administer cleaning equipment andsupplies. * Knowledge of basic foods and there uses. * Knowledge ofall food safety regulations. * Ability to teach basic culinary methods,techniques and principles. * Ability to clearly communicate to alllevels of management.
