Description
HVACR Americas, a business unit of Copeland, offers sustainable residential, commercial and industrial spaces through HVACR technologies. We maintain the integrity of goods throughout the cold chain. And we bring comfort to people globally.
Based on our St. Louis campus and reporting to the Regional EHS Manager, this critical role to HVACR Americas has broad environmental health & safety responsibilities focused both on our internal customers and external regulatory agencies. You will have the ability to work in an environment where regulatory compliance and process improvement are a top priority to take the organization to the next level. This role requires a passion for detail and have a strong ability to communicate these initiatives throughout the organization.
As a Business / Data Analyst Intern, You Will:
Coordinate with different departmental teams to map and develop safety processes.
Create reports, dashboards, and visualizations to understand safety performance.
Measure and analyze safety performance to drive safety improvement.
Assist in identifying gaps and create improvement strategies.
Develop and maintain report tools in our VelocityEHS software system.
Work with departments across the organization to identify opportunities for improvement.
Create reports for internal teams.
Work with team to develop and drive KPI’s to measure effectiveness of business decisions.
Acquire and manipulate data from the organization’s global safety database system to understand problems and address them proactively.
Assist in the development of safety presentations and reports.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCES & SKILLS:
Undergraduate student currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Business, Data Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or other IT-related programs
Sophomore or above class status
Data analysis experience using Excel or other specific data analysis tools
Strong communication, collaboration skills and attention to detail
Curious mindset and resourceful self-starter
Legal authorization to work in the United States - Sponsorship for this role will not be available.
PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCES & SKILLS
Strongly prefer a GPA of 2.75 or higher.

Ability to work approximately 24-32 hours a week

Schedule
We offer the flexibility of a core hour work schedule. Employees can flex their start and stop times given they are working during the core hours of 9:00am - 3:00pm. Our teams work together to ensure their chosen work schedules are supporting our customers. This role is approximately 24 – 32 hours a week but is flexible. This role does not have an associated travel requirement.
