About Partner Programs Manager, Public Sector

  Description

  The Amazon Web Services (AWS) Principal, Partner Programs is an integral part of the Public Sector (PS) Partner Programs team and is in a key position to help grow our cloud computing business making an impact in an exciting, growing market. AWS is leading the shift in computing and is looking for world-class candidates to help shape and deliver our partner programs.   In this global role, you will own the launch, management, and operation of high visibility global programs that help partners accelerate their AWS business in Public Sector. You will work cross-functionally with AWS partner teams to scope and build requirements for programs that solve partner and customer challenges. You will be supporting the most strategic partners, including Managed Service Providers, who have an outsized potential to capture new and exciting business opportunities in the Cloud.

  The ideal candidate has extensive business development experience, as well as experience with program/project management, cross functional relationships, data analysis, communicating to a variety of audiences and is a self-starter. You must have the ability and initiative to understand complex business needs and solve them with programs. You must thrive in a fast-paced environment.

  Key job responsibilities

  • Work directly with Partners to implement, operate, and deliver against program goals.

  • Work closely with Public Sector Partner and field sales teams on program feedback and go-to-market motions.

  • Own annual goals and performance reporting for the program.

  • Manage and operationalize processes including program recruitment, adoption, reporting, feature roadmap, and problem resolution.

  • Work closely with business, sales, marketing, technical and operations stakeholders to understand and address Partner challenges.

  • Leverage your business development and channel knowledge to solve highly complex business challenges through programmatic solutions, including working with technical stakeholders on program design.

  • Develop and mature mechanisms to deeply understand customer and partner needs, gaps, and opportunities

  • Develop data-driven narrative proposals for new initiatives or evolving programs, including return on investment profile and financial analysis.

  • Build and execute a communications strategy to stakeholders, including ownership of business cadence.

  • Measure and report effectiveness of program, and recommend program improvements.

  The Public Sector Partner Programs team drives partner program usage, benefits, and customization for AWS Partners working in Public Sector in order to accelerate their revenue growth, profitability, and transformation with Public Sector end customers. Examples of programs built and led by this team include Think Big for Small Business and the Partner Transformation Program.

  Basic Qualifications

  8+ years of relevant experience (Business Development, Program Management, Project Management).

  Experience working with Senior Executives.

  Understanding and experience with Cloud Computing.

  Experience working with channel partners.

  Excellent communications skills, including writing and presenting with accuracy and attention to detail.

  Experience with work management platforms and CRM software.

  Bachelor's degree in Business Management or equivalent

  Preferred Qualifications

  MBA, other relevant advanced degree.

  Global Public Sector experience.

  Experience building or launching net new programs.

  Experience with AWS technology.

  Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $118,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $220,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
