Part time operations manager to work with the part time administrative assistant to maintain Virginia Community Foundation operations. Essential Functions: Fiscal Management: Follows established fiscal policies and procedures; coordinates information flow with bookkeeping and audit services. Estimates an annual budget in consultation with the board chair/executive committee and provides regular spending updates throughout the year. Attends finance committee meetings. Grants: Oversees an annual grant program based on established policies and procedures. Maintains an effective working relationship with designated funds to ensure funds are managed and grants are made based on established agreements for each. Board Management: Regularly communicates with board members, drafting an agenda in collaboration with the board chair/executive committee; attends board and committee meetings. Marketing and Outreach: Ensures brochures and solicitation materials are kept up-to-date. Meets at least once a year with attorney s and money managers. Works with the chair/executive committee to produce at least one annual newsletter. Participates in events as determined in collaboration with the board of directors. Staffing Responsibilities: Oversees and coordinates established tasks and calendar coverage with the administrative assistant based on board directives and required operational needs. Facility Management: Work with the building committee to ensure there is an effective oversite plan for building and equipment maintenance. Work with the administrative assistant to provide a clean and safe environment. Record Keeping: Maintains and files reports and records as needed, including board, personnel, funding, and state and federal non-profit requirements.
