Kforce has a client that is seeking a Part Time Actuarial Contractor in Whitehouse Station, NJ. This role will be focused on updating and revamping the North America catastrophe projection process.Responsibilities include:

　　Actuarial Contractor will pull, transform, and reconcile an updated historical dataset

　　Using the historical dataset, select factors and measures by event type and other attributes

　　Develop solutions to current challenges with the process

　　Build additional capabilities to address gaps in the process

　　As an Actuarial Contractor, you will perform testing and validation to ensure the updated process works well

　　Document and communicate updates and changes to the process and their impact

　　Fully proficiency in Excel and working knowledge of VBA (Visual Basic Application)

　　Proficiency in SQL server; Working knowledge of R or Python is a plus

　　Strong analytical skills with the ability to work independently and effectively overcome challenges

　　Strong project and time management skills; Will take ownership of project

　　Able to maintain good documentation and record keeping

　　Able to provide clear and concise verbal and written communications to non-actuarial business leaders

　　Desire to work in a fast-paced, fluid environment

　　The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
