Preferably, the candidate will have experience/interest in geotechnical engineering, excavation support, or trenchless technologies.Responsibilities:Perform geotechnical engineering analysis and design calculations under the direction of senior engineersAssist with tunnel and shaft design, slope stability and excavation support analysisAssist with seismic response analysis, liquefaction and ground deformation analysisSupport geotechnical investigation programs including planning, permitting, implementationPrepare technical reportsAssist with the preparation of construction drawings and specificationsReview contractor submittalsWork on a variety of office and field assignmentsQualifications:BS in Civil or Geological/Geotechnical Engineering, MS preferredAbility to manage a number of concurrent assignments and prioritiesStrong analytical and technical communication skillsCompletion of relevant coursework or experience in several of the following: geotechnical engineering, soil and rock mechanics, slope stability, foundation engineering, finite element analysis, tunneling, subsurface investigation methodsFamiliarity with geotechnical analysis software for stability analysis, seepage analysis, shoring analysis and site response analysis is a plusEngineer in Training (EIT) certification or the ability to obtain one within 1 yearWillingness to travel for short-term assignmentsARE YOU READY TO JOIN OUR TEAM?If you feel that you would be right for this position, please fill out our initial 3-minute, mobile-friendly application so that we can review your information.
