Description We are providing an opportunity for a Paralegal in the legal industry, based in Chicago, Illinois. The successful candidate will be part of a team working in an office environment and will be offered a short-term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities

• Conducting basic research on potential arbitrators, witnesses, or jurors

• Assisting in preparation and organization of exhibits for depositions, arbitration, trial, and court proceedings

• Handling electronic court filings

• Managing and organizing documents and pleadings related to discovery

• Reviewing documents and preparing them for production

• Assisting in the initial drafting of discovery requests and responses

• Preparing summons and subpoenas

• Summarizing or abstracting depositions

• Monitoring customer accounts and taking appropriate action to resolve issues

• Processing customer credit applications in an accurate and efficient manner

• Maintaining accurate customer credit records Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Paralegal

• Proficient in Aderant software

• Proficient in Adobe Acrobat

• Experience with Automated City Register Information System (ACRIS)

• Familiarity with Case Management Software

• Proficient in CompuLaw

• Experience with Billing Functions

• Skilled in Briefing

• Proficient in Calendar Management

• Experience in Claim Administration

• Strong Communication skills

• Experience in Commercial Litigation

• Skilled in Trial Preparation

• Experience with Ediscovery

• Familiarity with Discovery process
