This individual will support the growth of HDR's manufacturing-related projects and service lines in Pennsylvania, Ohio, and West Virginia as well as globally across HDR's Industrial market sector. The Manufacturing Lead will serve as a Senior Project Manager for Industrial projects across HDR's portfolio. For purposes of team collaboration, this position will be based in either HDR's Pittsburgh or Philadelphia, Pennsylvania or Columbus, Ohio office and the selected candidate will be expected to primarily report for the position at that location.In this role we'll count on you to:Provide Subject Matter Expertise for Manufacturing systems on projects across the Industrial Sector. This would include subjects such as:o Material / Process Flow analysis and designo Industrial Engineeringo Continuous Improvement and Lean Manufacturingo Fit-Out Interior Constructiono Conveyance / Packaging / Assemblyo Equipment Layouts and Specificationso Process Pipingo In-Plant Heating and Cooling SystemsInterface with other related disciplines, including Industrial Architecture and Instrumentation/Control SystemsProject Management for both Multi-Disciplinary as well as Industrial projects.Provide Mentorship to staff on how to execute Industrial projectsSupport the Recruiting and Retention of staff within the Industrial Manufacturing and Supply Chain Facilities Practice globallySupport projects in other Business Groups, including Architecture and Building Engineering Services with a focus on manufacturing applicationsLeverage the various capabilities within HDR, including in Architecture, Transportation (O&M Facilities) and Building Engineering Services, to grow our Manufacturing support capabilitiesSupport Business Development activities as a Technical Subject Matter Expert.Serve as a Client Manager for key manufacturing clientsProvide oversight of Subconsultants who provide specialty Industrial services to HDRPeriodically travel (short-term travel) for project pursuits or execution, as well as internal strategy planning and networking.Perform other duties as needed*LI-MP1QualificationsRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Architectural, Construction or Engineering related field10 years related experienceA minimum of 5 years of project management experienceDirect experience in manufacturing environmentsFamiliar with Microsoft Office, estimating and scheduling software, project management softwareMust have the ability to interact with various design teams, have excellent organizational, project management and communication (both written and verbal) skillsAn attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a mustA valid driver's license and safe driving record is required.Preferred QualificationsLocal candidates are preferredWhy HDRAt HDR, we know work isn't only about who you work for; it's also about what you do and how you do it.
