Transportation between Anchorage and Prudhoe Bay is provided.[Job Purpose:[Responsible for the installation, maintenance, and preventive maintenance of various styles of commercial industrial doors and door operating systems, primarily overhead doors.[Essential Job Functions:[Installs, maintains, and performs preventive maintenance of various styles of doors and door operating systems.[Modifies existing doors and operating systems to comply with current fire and buildings codes.[May be responsible for direct purchase of parts from vendors and manufacturers.[Performs man lift operations and standard rigging, including rigging hand signals.[Calculates balance, weight, and cable lengths.[Communicates with client on a frequent basis.[Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:[Skilled in man lift operation and standard rigging practices including rigging hand signals.[Ability to calculate balance, weight, and cable lengths.[Ability to work with minimal supervision.[Experience with direct purchase of parts from vendors and manufacturers.[Must be able to work as part of a team; communicate effectively with client, fellow workers and alternate and demonstrate adherence to established safety policies and procedures.[Physical Demand/Work Environment:[The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
