Description:
Candidates will start by training for a month doing general clean-up, learning color codes for steel, placement in warehouse and training on the crane.
Candidates must be able to walk for 8-10 hour shifts in an inside/outside role. Candidates must be okay with exposure to the elements, running indoor and outdoor cranes, and performing all functions to include housekeeping that comes with the role as they could be placed on one particular crane that stores materials outside.
Will eventually learn to not just pull beams but eventually load flat bed trailers and railcars which includes rigging, getting up onto the backs of flatbeds with ease, receiving inventory, moving materials to the loaders via overhead crane etc., filling out shipping reports and bills of lading and documenting all outgoing loads
Will be working around flatbed trucks and railcar systems, and must adhere to all safety rules (not walking in between stacks and always being visible to other associates)
Candidates must understand that this is a Physically demanding position from that standpoint that they walk about 5 miles per day and the environment is not traditional manufacturing as it is very heavy industrial.
