Overhaul Mechanic (Entry Level)

Bell is seeking a Mechanic to support operations in the Overhaul department at Bell's Piney Flats, TN campus.
Responsibilities will include:
Perform teardown and reassembly of components
Media blast and clean parts
Perform maintenance work on drivetrain components to Bell Manual standards
Perform major overhauls and inspections
Maintain compliance with FOD Policies and Repair Station Procedures
Understand safe and applicable use of basic hand tools
Read and interpret Maintenance Manuals and applicable Component Repair & Overhaul material
Demonstrate safe work habits and proper use of PPE
Must work overtime as required
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Education: HS Diploma or GED
Position requirements:
Demonstrated ability to perform mechanical work \
Previous overhaul or aircraft mechanic experience is a plusMust provide own basic hand tools required for the job
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions, including ability to understand, read, and write in English as per FAA regulations
Ability to work as a team member to meet component delivery schedules
Preferred: FAA A&P Certificate may be a plus, and will qualify selected candidate for a higher level/pay grade
Physical Requirements:
Ability to walk and lift up to 25 lbs.
Ability to perform prolonged kneeling, squatting, sitting, crawling, and climbing stairs, ladders and work stands
