This position is on a program that develops and operates GeospatialIntelligence analysis software. The team builds and maintains a robustplatform enabling users to address challenging problems by convertingdisparate data into actionable information. They work directly withoperational users to design, develop, and maintain capabilities thatempower analysts to create actionable intelligence from the massive volumes ofGeospatial Intelligence data to give our intel and combat organizations thedecision advantage over our near-peer opponents.
As a Cloud Data Engineer, you will be working closely with developers anddata scientists to establish a consolidated data analytics environmentutilizing COTS and FOSS software. You will design and implement dataingestion strategies, data warehouses, data visualizations, APIintegrations, and automation solutions for end-to-end large scale dataanalytic
Duties, Tasks & Responsibilities
Design, build, and maintain scalable data platforms for large-scale dataprocessing and storage in AWSDevelop complex data flows and design/build data pipelines for collecting,transforming, and loading data into data storage solutionsOptimize data platforms for performance, scalability, and costefficiency, monitoring and troubleshooting any issues that may ariseEnsure data quality, accuracy, and consistency through effective datavalidation, cleaning, testing, and monitoring
Required Experience, Education, Skills & Technologies
An active TS/SCI security clearance, preferably with CI polygraphSeven (7) years of related experienceExperience with AWS InfrastructureExperience with Elastic Stack infrastructure, including Elasticsearch andKibana, and visualization platforms, including TableauStrong analytical and troubleshooting/problem solving skillsExperience with Python and SQL programmingStrong understanding of databases and database structuresExperience building highly available, distributed systems of dataextraction, ingestion, and processing of large data setsEffective communication skills
Preferred Experience, Education, Skills & Technologies
AWS Certification - SysOps, DevOps, or Solutions ArchitectExperience with CloudFormation, Terraform, or similar IaC technologyInformation Assurance/DoD 8570 certification (like Security+)Knowledge of and experience with Geospatial data and technologiesExperience with data visualization tools like Kibana, Tableau, and PowerBIExperience with big data processing and technologies: ETL, Hadoop,Elasticsearch for Hadoop, structured data, SQL schemas and queries,Apache Spark, Databricks, etc

Full-time on-site at a designated facility.
Pay Rate
The projected compensation range for this position is $125,000 -$175,000. Please note that the salary information is a general guidelineonly.
