You will operate construction equipment which includes, butis not limited to, trenchers, backhoes, end loaders, and plows in orderto place fiber facilities. Installs, tests, troubleshoots, and repairsaerial and underground fiber facilities within TDS Telecom servingareas. Training: As an Outside Plant Construction Technician II, youwill have the opportunity to obtain a Class A CDL through our in-housetraining program. You will attend safety training at one of our newfacilities where you will also be trained on Pole Climbing and BucketTrucks. On-the-job training includes exposure to various constructionequipment including Directional Drill Rigs, Mini Excavators, Trenchers,and Locators. Fiber optic training includes Fusion Splicing, FaultDetection, and exposure to OTDRs and other advanced testing equipment.This position is eligible for a \$1,000 sign-on bonus!
