Description We are in search of an Operations Specialist to join our team located in Elk Grove Village, Illinois. The role will primarily revolve around managing our air import and export departments and ensuring efficiency and effectiveness in our processes.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and enhance existing processes within the air import/export departments

• Implement new procedures as needed to improve efficiency

• Evaluate team performance and suggest improvements

• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and policies

• Collaborate with other departments to streamline operations

• Identify and solve problems and inefficiencies within the department

• Utilize CRM, IBM AS/400, and Microsoft Excel to manage operations and customer service

• Ensure documentation and office functions are maintained according to standards

• Manage air transportation and intermodal logistics

• Implement process improvement initiatives and standard operation procedures in line with the logistics industry standards

• Drive continuous process improvement in logistics systems and distribution. Requirements

• Minimum of 7 years of experience as an Operations Manager specifically in the transportation industry with career progression

• Proficiency in CRM and IBM AS/400

• Experience with a Management System and Microsoft Excel

• Knowledge of Compliance procedures and best practices

• Leadership experience required

• Familiarity with Office Functions

• Experience in Air Transportation and Intermodal Logistics

• Understanding of Logistics Distribution, Logistics Industry, and Logistics systems

• Demonstrated ability in Business process improvement, Continuous Process Improvement, Process Improvement Initiatives, and Process Improvement

• Knowledge of Standard Operation Procedures

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize them effectively

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management or a related field is preferred.
