Job Summary
The Criminal Field Researcher is responsible for researching public records to determine if an applicant has a criminal and/or civil record. Court Field Researchers are expected to become experts in the public records of the jurisdictions they search. In this role, you must also demonstrate a consistent level of quality and time service, based on strategic corporate goals. This position would require travel to various County Courthouses on a regular basis. This position may require someone to stand for extended periods of time, travel between different court locations and be able to report information in a timely and accurate manner. This role will report directly to their respective Market Operations Supervisor.
Duties and Responsibilities
Communicate with and establish positive working relations with all court personnel and members of the public.
Conduct research using the public records index.
Enter results into our proprietary systems, either as clear (no information found) or the information found in the court's predominantly used index as specified per the client's instructions.
Proactively communicate with their Supervisor to ensure all court holidays and other court delays are communicated to InformData.
Must provide updates to Supervisor regarding any delays that would impact our business or our customers.
Must provide updates to Supervisor regarding courthouse structure updates, process changes, or fee changes.
Act as a back-up for other Field Researchers in your area.
Maintain Quality and TAT standards set by InformData.
Inform the Supervisor of any current quality or trending issues.
Assist in the ordering and fulfillment of all court copy requests.
Researchers may be tasked with performing searches in surrounding areas or via online research.

Qualifications
Qualifications
Must have a High School diploma.
Knowledge of computer software packages (MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
Must be able to type 35 wpm.
Ability to work in a team environment.
Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
Must have strong attention to detail.
Must have access to reliable transportation daily.
Must have access to a computer and high-speed internet from home.
Must complete introductory training.
Ability to work during normal courthouse hours, as well as be available to work OT with prior notice.
In some instances, you may be required to take and pass a private investigator's licensing exam to conduct research within a specific jurisdiction
Excellent multi-tasking, time management and detail-oriented skills.
Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check.
