The Director leads the development and implementation of OSPA’s training program for the staff in the Office of Sponsored Projects Administration and Collaborative Grant Services, both of which are units with the Office of the Vice President for Research. The Director, who reports directly to the OSPA Executive Director, has oversight of the training and operations teams in OSPA and works collaboratively with OSPA leadership to ensure departmental policies, procedures, and performance comply with federal regulations, University policies, business procedures, and sponsor requirements. The Director is key to supporting and encouraging a strong culture of sponsored research, provides leadership for initiatives that enhance extramural funding success, and partners with OSPA colleagues, faculty, and others across campus. Prior experience in training staff and substantial knowledge of research administration is required. A CRA is preferred. Candidates with a strong interest in helping the University’s investigators in their pursuit and management of research funding are encouraged to apply.
