JOB REQUIREMENTS: Overview This position works with our Janesvilleinpatient therapy team. The Occupational Therapist is responsible forthe evaluation, planning and implementation of a treatment planaddressing the functional needs of a variety of patient diagnoses.Responsibilities Integrates subjective and objective data to establish atreatment plan. Utilizes exercise, physical agents, and manualtechniques to address deficits. Maintains a thorough record of servicesprovided with appropriate coding and billing. Communicates with otherdisciplines and referring providers to enhance outcomes. Performsthorough and timely electronic documentation Strengths in care deliveryas evidenced by peer review feedback; consistently demonstrates advancedevaluation and treatment techniques Participates actively in the PI andCQI process Assists in the orientation, training and mentoring of newpartners Participates in cost saving initiatives within the departmentTakes an active role in the performance improvement process Maintain ahigh standard of patient care and provide effective communicationbetween occupational therapists, assistants and the physician groupPlans and conducts lectures and training programs on occupationaltherapy and related topics for medical staff, students and communitygroups. Education and Experience Graduate of an accredited school ofOccupational Therapy Certification/Licensure Licensed as an OccupationalTherapist in WI, IL or both if required Approved CPR or BLScertification required within 90 days NBCOT (National Board forCertification in Occupational Therapy) preferred (Industrial RehabOnly) - For those driving Mercyhealth vehicles: Maintain a validdriver\'s license.
