Methodist Hospital is looking to hire a Certified Nursing Assistant - to join our General Surgery Adult/Peds team! Position Summary: The Nursing Assistant provides direct patient care under the direction of a Registered Nurse, utilizing their skill and expertise to complement other health care providers. Department Summary: General Surgery Adult/Peds (4W) is a medical/surgical unit that cares for both pediatric and adult patients. There are 28 inpatient beds, 7 of which are in a secured area for pediatric patients but can be used interchangeably for pediatric or adult patients based on the need. For adults, we specialize in post-operative care after general surgeries including bariatric weight-loss procedures, colorectal, urogynecology, among others. For pediatric patients, we care for many common medical conditions such as bronchiolitis, pneumonia, sepsis, asthma, diabetes, etc. Using a team-based approach, 4W handles its complex patient variety with integrity, compassion, and skill. Work Schedule: .6 FTE Day/Night, 8-hours; every other weekend Required Qualifications: All candidates must be current on the State of Minnesota Nursing Assistant Registry OR be an LPN student or a Jr. level nursing student, which means completion of first quarter clinicals with an accredited RN or LPN program.
