Description

　　The Nurse Practitioner functions as an Independent Provider by implementing the appropriate "standardized procedures" (SP) for UCLA Department of Interventional Radiology Clinic. By using the SPs the NP is able to preform clinic consultations for Interventional Radiology patients, provide pre-procedure planning and post-procedure follow up, observe response to treatment, and preform minor clinic procedures. This NP performs history and physicals on complex cases requiring the use of advance knowledge and skills. Clinical role includes extensive pre-procedural assessment, clinical follow up for post interventional procedures, and is an expert in medical device management. Additionally, this NP provides, patient/family education, participates in research projects, and Quality initiatives to promote safe continuity of care.

　　NP 2: Salary range: $84.82-$121.13/hourly

　　NP1 (less than 6 mths NP exp) : $76.51/hourlyQualifications

　　CA RN License and CA NP license (Family, Adult Acute Care/Primary Care)-Required

　　MSN/DNP in NP Specialty-required

　　National Certification in NP Specialty-Required

　　Additional: NPI #, DEA #,-required

　　Enrollment in PECOS, Enrollment in CURES -required

　　BLS Certification from AHA or ARC- Required

　　IR or ICU experience -Preferred

　　Ability to utilize excel, word and other software programs-Required

　　Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and collaborative working relationships with administrative, clinical and academic personnel-Required

　　Skill in working independently and following through with minimum directions-Required

　　Ability to set priorities-Required

　　Demonstrate writing skills to compose logical, detailed and grammatically correct correspondence-Required

　　Document patient care in an concise and comprehensive manner- Required
