Adecco is assisting a local manufacturing facility in search of skilled and entry-level Machine Operators in Portland, ME . These are temp-to-hire opportunities paying $18 - $20.70 / HR , plus the possibility of incentives and overtime!

　　1 st Shift - 5:45AM - 2:15PM or 6:30AM - 3:30PM - $18/HR

　　2 nd Shift - 1:45PM - 10:15PM or 2PM - 11PM - $20.70/HR

　　3 rd Shift - 9:45PM - 6:15AM - $20.70/HR

　　Essential Functions:

　　Machine operation including loading and unloading of parts according to standard work instructions

　　Work from process sheets, inspect all tooling and gaging to assure that it is functional, visually, and mechanically inspection of parts equipment before and after operating

　　Basic job set-up and troubleshooting minor equipment issues

　　Report improper operation, faulty equipment, defective materials, unsafe and unusual conditions

　　Maintain necessary records, move material as necessary in the performance of duties or as directed.

　　Detect and report improper operation, faulty equipment, defective materials, unsafe and unusual conditions to supervisor.

　　Maintain work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition.

　　Follow prescribed safety rules and regulations and maintain quality standards.

　　Assist senior operators with set-up/tooling changeovers

　　Assist engineers with process improvement activities

　　Participate in cross-training activities

　　Adhere to all environmental health and safety rules and regulations

　　Maintain quality standards

　　Maintain work area and equipment in accordance with Operator Maintenance Guidelines

　　Perform other duties as required

　　Qualifications:

　　High School Diploma or equivalent

　　Be proficient in working with process sheets

　　Be familiar with a variety of gaging instruments and methods

　　Be proficient in general shop math including decimals and measurements with very close tolerances

　　Have good mechanical aptitude

　　Ability follow verbal and written direction

　　Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently

　　Willingness to learn

　　Job Related Demands:

　　Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with presswork, machine tools, oils, and chemicals

　　Ability to conduct processes that are repetitive

　　Ability to stand and/or sit for long periods of time

　　Ability to lift and move objects up to 35 lbs without assistance

　　Ability to travel to vendor or customer sites

　　Ability to speak and listen to express ideas
