　　The coordination of care for all urology inpatients including consults and primary patients in both the inpatient (primarily) and ambulatory setting

　　Performing a complete history and physical exam and interprets findings.

　　Diagnosing and managing common clinical problems of the identified patient population

　　Planning, implementing, and evaluating the treatment plan in an interdisciplinary manner.

　　Ordering and interpreting diagnostic studies and therapeutic interventions necessary to augment the patient's physical findings and treatment plan. Communicates these findings to the health care team, patients, and families.

　　Participating in discharge planning with the health care team.

　　Writing orders, prescriptions, and progress notes in the patient medical record. Dictates patient discharge summaries, and communicates to the primary care providers.

　　Participating in the daily patient care rounds, interdisciplinary conferences, and teaching activities of the service.

　　Communicating the patient's condition and plan of care to the patient and family. Engaging in health teaching and counseling with the patient and their family in collaboration with the health care team.

　　Performing selected diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.

　　Participating in formal and informal teaching activities with staff nurses, physicians, interns and residents, and other members of the health care team.

　　Communicating clearly and concisely with the health care team and appropriately consults and utilizes resources to meet the patient's needs.

　　Maintaining clinical competency and ongoing professional development through continuing education, professional activities, and self-evaluation.

　　Working 20 hours per week, a combination of rotating 8 and 12 hour shifts primarily Monday-Friday and 1-2 weekend days per month

　　To qualify, you must have

　　A Master's degree in Nursing

　　A current MA NP license (FNP or PNP) required

　　1-3 years of PNP experience preferred

　　Previous ICU or inpatient surgical nursing experience preferred

　　**Sign-on bonus of $2,500.00 for part-time (20 hours) NP hires (who have not worked at BCH in the past 2 years.)
