  A Nuclear Survivability Design Engineer (Remote) job is available with our client based in Taunton, MA. In this role you will be responsible for supporting development of a system-level approach that addresses Nuclear Survivability. To be considered for this role, you will have a Bachelor"s Degree in Reliability, Mechanical or Materials Engineering, or a related Science, Mathematics field and a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience. Due to the nature of the work performed in this facility, US citizenship is required.

  Nuclear Survivability Design Engineer (Remote) Job Duties:

  Analyze and decompose customer requirements with regards to Nuclear Survivability.

  Update company chassis specification with appropriate Nuclear Survivability requirements.

  Collaborate with design team on implementation of Nuclear Survivability requirements.

  Support requirements definition for component vendors; specifically with regards to PSU vendors in creating a supply with a compliant shunt-to-ground off our trigger.

  Help identify components or component classes to avoid in a chassis and backplane to pass the identified thresholds/testing, regardless of NED.

  Provide input to design team to help establish pin diode levels for NED triggering per our levels.

  Support backplane / chassis implementation design reviews.

  KNOWLEDGE / SKILL / ABILITY / EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:

  Bachelor"s Degree in Reliability, Mechanical or Materials Engineering, or a related Science, Mathematics field and a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.

  Excellent understanding of Nuclear Survivability engineering processes.

  Full use and understanding of Reliability engineering concepts, principles, and theories.

  Highly skilled in communicating issues, impacts, and corrective actions.
