This position is for a News Producer (Primary) with a company in Biloxi, MS.

　　Summary: WLOX is seeking a News Producer to join our award-winning team. The right candidate must be an excellent writer. We want someone who is creative, organized, and highly motivated to create newscasts that showcase our team's local content.

　　Duties and Responsibilities: Organize daily newscasts that prioritize breaking news, live reporting, and severe weather coverage. Write and research stories that run in your newscasts. This may be done independently or in collaboration with others in the newsroom. Must be able to make sound split-second decisions during live broadcasts, and motivate a team to execute your vision. Be a leader in the newsroom by actively engaging in the editorial process.

　　Qualifications and Requirements: Strong verbal/written communication skills and knowledge of AP Style required. Curiosity is required. We need someone who wants to dig for answers. Excellent time management and the ability to work well under pressure required. Flexibility and on-the-spot problem-solving abilities required. College degree in journalism preferred. Knowledge of ENPS preferred.
