About New Graduate Registered Nurse Telemetry

  Job Description:A former nursing student who has completed an accreditednursing program and is pending nursing licensure. All individuals hired intothis position would be expected to obtain nursing licensure within six monthsof hire and transition into a new graduate nurse resident position, asavailable, for the next available nurse residency cohort after licensure.If a Graduate Nurse does not obtain nursing licensure within six months ofhire, an extension of employment in this position requires the approval ofthe hospital CNO.

  Works under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse except as noted inaddendum

  Minimum Qualifications:Graduate NurseEntry Pay: $26.50Successful completion of a recognized and accredited Nursing/RN educationprogram (education will be verified).

  Registered NurseEntry Pay: $34.64 - $52.52Current RN License in state of practice.

  Licensed and Unlicensed RNBasic Life Support (BLS) Certification for healthcare providers.Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.RNs with less than 12 months of working experience as an RN prior to joiningIntermountain must obtain their BSN within five years of their start date.

  Physical Requirements:Ongoing need for employee to see and readinformation, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identifyequipment and supplies.- and -Frequent interactions with patient careproviders, patients, and visitors that require employee to verballycommunicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, alarms,needs, and issues quickly and accurately, particularly during emergencysituations.- and -Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complexand delicate equipment with precision and accuracy. This includes frequentcomputer use and typing for documenting patient care, accessing neededinformation, medication preparation, etc.- and -Expected to lift andutilize full range of movement to transfer patients. Will also bend toretrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment. Typically includes itemsof varying weights, up to and including heavy items.- and -Need to walk andassist with transporting/ambulating patients and obtaining and distributingsupplies and equipment. This includes pushing/pulling gurneys and portableequipment, including heavy items. Often required to navigate crowded andbusy rooms (full of equipment, power cords on the floor, etc).- and-May be expected to stand in a stationary position for an extended period ofti
