Climax Molybdenum is the world's leading producer of molybdenum and has along, successful history of doing business in a safe, highly efficient andsocially responsible manner. We have operated in Colorado for more than 100years and today have mining and milling operations near Leadville, Kremmlingand Empire. Our Climax mine is located between Frisco and Leadville. OurHenderson mine and mill are an hour's drive apart - separated by theContinental Divide and a 15-mile conveyor system (10 miles isunderground). The Henderson mine is about 50 miles west of Denver and 10miles west of Empire, and the mill is located between Dillon and Kremmling.
Description:Highly skilled workers in the Electrical/Instrumentation craft who performat or above a Journeyman level including but not limited to removal, repairand installation of electrical components, electrical systems analysis anddiagnosis, advanced troubleshooting and systems/process optimization.Employees may mentor or train other electrical employees. Employee will workunder minimal supervision where the primary objective is safe production.
Removal, repair and installation of electrical components, electricalsystems, analysis and diagnosis, advanced troubleshooting andsystems/process optimization; may mentor or train other electrical workersSafe completion of routine and non-routine repairs and constructionPerform preventative maintenance including installation, repair andtroubleshooting of industrial electrical and/or instrumentation equipment(i.e. substations, power distribution systems, switchgear motors,motor controls, systems and components, process controls,instrumentation and pneumatic equipment)Must have strong knowledge in the maintenance and troubleshooting ofAC/DC drives, PLCs, overhead cranes, management control systems,calibration of field transmitters/transducers and weigh scales, and lowand medium voltage equipmentAbility to perform installations and renovations compliant with regulatoryagency standardsFollow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and work areainstructions, participate in safety and environmental activities, and useplant and equipment correctly at all timesQualifications include but are not limited to:Minimum Qualifications
Completion of an approved Certified Electronics, Electrical and/orInstrumentation Program, ORMinimum of four (4) years of experience in Industrial Electricaland/or Instrumentation repair and maintenance, ORAssociate's degree or Trade School Certification in a related field andtwo (2) years of experience in Industrial Electrical and/orInstrumentation repair and maintenanceExperience in troubleshooting, maintenance and repair of electricalcircuits and connected equipment; this includes the ability to read,understand and apply information from technical manuals, prints, andschematics for trouble shooting and repairEffective written and verbal communication skills to satisfy training,safety, and electronic message transmission policies of the companyMust have minimum personal tools as described by the department tool list orbe able to obtain them within 90 days of hire datePreferred Qualifications
