　　*PURPOSE OF POSITION *

　　The Skilled Laborer / Assembler is responsible for grinding, welding,fitting, and assembling all steel, iron, and manganese rail points fortrack work related products to the specifications provided byengineering.

　　*Task and Responsibilities: *

　　Operate hydraulic benders or presses to straighten manganesecastings

　　Safely operate jib and overhead cranes

　　Ability to operate grinder, welder and power tools

　　Proficiently assemble all switch points built at plantSafely operate powered industrial truckAble to work with little supervision

　　Adhere to Nortraks Safety, Quality and Environmental Procedures,Practices and Policies

　　Routine cleanup of work area

　　Perform other duties as assigned\

　　Physical Demands:

　　Prolonged periods of standing, walking, stooping, kneeling,crouching or climbing.Use hands to handle or feel objects, tools or controls, and reachwith hands and arms.Regularly lift and move up to 20-25 pounds, occasionally lift andmove up to 50 pounds.Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision,distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perceptionand ability to adjust focus.Hearing abilities related to job assigned.Job Requirements (e.g. education, experience, skills and desiredcompetencies)
