The Boeing Test and Evaluation (BT&E) organization in Oklahoma City is seeking a Mid-Level Laboratory Technician (B-1 Avionics Lab) for the B-1 Bomber Avionics Integrated Support Facility (AISF) located in Tinker AFB, OK.
The AISF laboratory operations is responsible for maintaining, configuring, and upgrading avionics hardware and special test equipment used to support development and testing of operational flight software. The Laboratory Operations team, that this position is part of, is made up of engineers, technicians, and cyber security.
This position is for 1st shift; however, variable shifts including, day, evening, nights and weekends may be required to support program objectives.
Position Responsibilities:
Participates in test design, procurement, fabrication and assembly of components, test fixtures and test systems
Facilitates systems integration, fabrication and modification; supports system pre-test setup, integration, checkout, and posttest teardown
Conducts routine tests, analyzes data and documents results
Troubleshoots and basic laboratory and test-related problems
Performs preventative maintenance on lab equipment
Performs classification and de-classification of test equipment
Supports generation and modification of hardware configuration paperwork
Works with B-1 avionic systems
Supports laboratory logistic activities associated with multiple projects
Supports laboratory functions by coordinating, documenting, and executing lab equipment shipping and receiving
Works independently on assigned tasks
Ability to lift loads of approximately 35 pounds
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
High School Diploma or GED
1+ years of experience in the field of simulation, electronics, or avionics, particularly aircrew (flight) simulators and/or aircraft maintenance
1+ years of experience working with and/or interpreting engineering data or engineering drawings
1+ years of experience with operating test equipment
Experience using all the following Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel and Outlook)
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
5+ experience developing or testing real time integrated avionics hardware/software systems for spacecraft, high performance aircraft or other similar platforms
5+ years of experience in the field of simulation, electronics, or avionics, particularly aircrew (flight) simulators and/or aircraft maintenance
5+ years of experience working with and/or interpreting engineering data or engineering drawings
5+ years of experience with operating test equipment
Strong communication skills and customer focus
Typical Education/Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Associate) and typically 3 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Bachelor+1 years' related work experience, 5 years' related work experience, etc.).

Summary pay range for: $51,000 - $69,000
