　　Description:

　　The purpose of this position is to assist Mercy College of Health Sciences’ students with specialized instruction in their areas of expertise.

　　ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

　　Assists students on a one-to-one or small-group basis to provide learning assistance.

　　Collaborates with instructors to assess the students’ needs and how best to address them.

　　Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned.

　　MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED :

　　Completion of a particular course in which assisting is being done with earning at least a "B" from a higher education institution.

　　Strong interpersonal communication skills and ease in relating to people from varying educational, cultural, and social backgrounds.

　　Strong level of responsibility, reliability, and punctuality.

　　A copy of unofficial transcripts must be uploaded with application.
