The systems will be used by lenders and servicers in the consumer and mortgage lending markets in the United States. As the Head of Compliance for non-performing loans, you will leverage your mortgage servicing industry experience as a key liaison between the Compliance department and the delivery teams who utilize modern technologies, tools and frameworks to develop advanced, enterprise business components that can run on Cloud platforms. You will be building collaborative relationships across the company to develop, implement and oversee various aspects of Sagent's compliance management system relating to the mortgage servicing platform under construction. And if it couldn't get any better....this role is REMOTE.Your Day-to-Day at Sagent:Associate will serve as a dedicated leader and member of our Compliance teamCreative problem-solving ability, allowing the individual to identify solid solutions to challenging compliance issuesA passion for success and willingness to go above and beyond to accomplish goalsManage and develop a growing team of direct-report compliance specialists who will assist with the achievement of compliance objectivesCollaborate with executives, managers, product owners, developers, quality assurance, business analysts and client service representatives to ascertain, understand, document and map compliance requirements and demonstrate progressWork closely with agile teams with both onshore and offshore team members to help plan, implement and support compliance objectives associated with the system buildApply high attention to detail and stellar communication skills to explain federal, state and GSE servicing requirements and document the corresponding system capabilities, workflows and processesFacilitate resolution of escalations and response to compliance questions in the normal course of businessReview and assess compliance testing and monitoring, report findings and make recommendations re: enhancement as neededDemonstrate flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environmentWe'd love to hear from you if you have:Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experienceMinimum of 8-12 years' experience in the mortgage servicing industry with an in-depth understanding of high touch and default servicing compliance and/or building and administering complex compliance management systems within banking or consumer financial services.Extensive experience with, and solid understanding of, federal, state and GSE servicing compliance requirements or front-line experience managing regulatory examinationsExtensive experience with end-to end mortgage servicing processes and requirements and the interrelationship between different segments of the mortgage loan servicing life cycle (onboarding/servicing transfer, core/performing loans, high touch, loss mitigation and default servicing/asset management, etc.)Extensive experience with SCRA, successors in interest, loss mitigation, foreclosure, bankruptcy, eviction, property preservation and liquidation and a deep understanding of the manner in which other servicing process and money movement interact with these areas.Significant day-to-day experience with mortgage servicing platform functionality of prevailing systems in the industry, including loan-level information and management, inquiry and audits, timeline management, workflow administration, reporting, etc.Ability to build relationships and a culture of compliance, drive compliance best practices and contribute to compliance training efforts as neededGeneral familiarity with or a willingness to learn ADO (Agile DevOps)Willingness to travel (up to 20%)
