Robert Half is partnering with a national insurance broker who is seeking a mergers and acquisitions attorney to join its legal team. This is a remote position but ideally the candidate will be located in Florida to attend meetings in Tampa, FL. Company has 1800+ employees operating in 125+ locations. Job Duties

Perform or assist in performing the legal aspects of company’s acquisitions from NDA through closing and integration, including the following: legal due diligence on acquisition targets and advising business leaders on acquisition risks and closing issues; negotiating definitive transaction documents and advising business leaders on legal terms; negotiating NDAs and LOIs; compiling purchase agreement disclosure schedules; and closing and post-closing integration.

Requirements

3+ years of practice as a corporate and transactions attorney working on mergers, acquisitions, and/or divestitures in either a large law firm or corporate legal department (preferably a mix of both). J.D. from an ABA accredited law school.

Member of the FL Bar or authorized in house counsel in FL.

Travel domestically, and possibly internationally, from time to time. Work productively remotely/from home on a permanent basis.
