　　Responsibilities

　　Performs analyses on biological specimens, e.g. blood and urine, to aid health care providers in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. Participates in the operational support activities necessary to maintain and optimize testing capabilities. Position will provide coverage at Faribault and Owatonna locations.

　　Qualifications

　　A two-year commitment to this position is required**

　　Shift Differential is paid for off shift hours worked(ex. Pms, nocs, weekends).

　　Relocation is offered to those relocating 70 miles or greater.

　　For MT- Baccalaureate Degree in one of the following:

　　Medical Technology (MT)

　　Medical Laboratory Science (MLS)

　　Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS)

　　Or Bachelor’s degree plus Certificate in Medical laboratory Science (MLS), Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS), Medical Technology (MT), as recognized by the National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Sciences (NAACLS) is required. An HEW certificate may be substituted for the specified degree.

　　Applicants needing visa sponsorship must possess CGFNS Visa Screen certification upon application. Must Attach Certification to profile.

　　For MLT- Associate’s degree from an accredited Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) program or U.S. military Medical Laboratory-training program.

　　** Visa sponsorship is not available for the MLT position; Also, Mayo Clinic DOES NOT participate in the F-1 STEM OPT extension program.

　　Skills

　　Experience working in a medical field Required. Moderate to advanced computer skills. Possess good written and oral communications skills, the ability to prioritize work, manage time wisely, and adjust to changes in work volumes and projects. Preferred: Phlebotomy Willingness to travel to other MCHS locations for assignments as needed.

　　Varying shifts Monday through Friday with 6:45 a.m. being the earliest start and 5:30 p.m. (closing shift) being the latest end.

　　Weekend Schedule

　　Rotating split weekends, approximately one every four, Saturday 8:00 a.m.-7:30 p.m. (close) and Saturday 8:30-17:30 (close).
